This has been my first real experience with photoshop without guided tutorials so bear with me. My inspiration for this creation stems from my wedding anniversary last July. It was also our first actual vacation together as well, apart from our wedding, so it was sentimental for us. We took a trip to Virginia Beach and I included four pictures that represented our trip. It was also our first celebration of our wedding anniversary. YAY!
The Main background picture is from our aquarium visit that was on our anniversary date. The second picture is of us at dinner by the beach. The third picture is of a light house. This light house was at a navy base in Virginia and was one of our favorite parts of the trip. We got access to more things there because my husband is in the military. The fourth picture shows a glimpse of a compass that was made out of stone near by the light house.
I wanted to create a collage that highlighted our anniversary trip in a unique way. I tried to incorporate the technicues I learned from the videos I watched in photoshop and also choosing those photos by the style I shot them in.
Some of the tools I used was the magnetic Lasso tool, to outline the lighthouse and separate it from the background. I used the Frame tool for the picture of us. I also used layer mask for the compass with a gradient effect. I also used the free transform tool to change the size of certain photos.
I think this was a good first step into creating a final collage image and it helped me be a little more confident with using tools in photoshop.
Feel free to leave me any feedback!

I think you did an Amazing job incorporating all you favorite memories of your special trip.
