The story I want to tell is about my husband and I’s spontaneous trip to Cincinnati. I didn’t know what to expect because I was completely unaware of where we were going, but knew it was going to be for the weekend. I get stressed out over big cities; almost like claustrophobia with all the big buildings surrounding us.
We had a rough start once we arrived. This hurdle was the initial anxiety that came over me being in a big city that I was unfamiliar with and also seemed a bit sketchy. My husband was calm and helped me overcome my anxiety and once we got over that hurdle, we ended up having a really good time at a brewery that I like a lot.

Then I was surprised by going to make candles. This was another spontaneous romantic gesture that my husband planned without me knowing. After that, we ended the day by going to a brewfest at the Cincinnati Reds stadium.
On the way home we stopped at Kings Island and it was a nice end to our weekend trip. We spent the entire day there in the hot august sun. We had another hurdle during that day when I got dehydrated from being in the sun for too long and was seconds away from passing out. My husband stuck by my side and got me the fluids I needed and took me over to the first aid place to make sure I was fully okay.
This story in particular is a special one to me and goes along with the theme of my blog showing a fun spontaneous weekend trip that my husband and I had together. I want to show the audience that even if things start bumpy, they don’t have to stay that way and you can make the most out of any situation with your spouse. Another takeaway is how important it is to spend quality time with one another.
